MOLD is a dirty word. And when mentioned, it creates a sense of unease. Nobody wants to have mold in their house. Mold grows and thrives in moist environments,  but the fact is that EVERY house has mold, regardless of moisture levels. When we walk through the forest, through our back yard, or in the car... we're breathing in mold spores. Mold is everywhere. We breathe it every day.

But here is the REAL question... especially for people with mold allergies...

Knowing that mold is everywhere, and the human body can sustain normal levels of exposure, what is considered normal? How do you determine normal? That is where our professional services come into play.

If you want to test for the presence of mold, you can buy a mold kit at your local hardware store, take a swab grow whatever is there. It is 100% guaranteed that something will grow, because at that point you are providing an environment in which it will grow! It is established that mold spores are everywhere, but is the environment within your home conducive for growth outside of a petri dish? We will determine if the normal environment in the home will produce greater mold growth than what is present on the outside of the house in your back yard. 

First, we will establish points of concern in the home by testing for moisture by means of thermal imaging and moisture meters to find the source of any potential issues. It will be fully documented with pictures and thermal images. We will then take an outside air sample using calibrated equipment and air sampling cartridges that will fully represent what your nose and lungs are being exposed to under normal conditions. Using the same methodology, we will then take in indoor sample in the area of concern that has been previously determined. We can take as many samples as you like, but usually one or two is sufficient to properly determine current issues.

Once our on-site evaluation is completed, we will then send the samples to the lab for testing of the types of mold types that were collected. You will then receive the results with detailed charts and explanations and also our recommendations for remediation.
